Collisions and interactions

Particles are only as good as their setup.
The sand grains particles required custom collision tuning to feel satisfying. We built several prototypes and chose the one that made particle removal feel most satisfying — particles fall off as the object spins, catch in grooves, and stay there until the player knocks them loose.
We paid special attention to how sand grains interact with compressed air — making the act of blasting them off as satisfying as possible.

Collaboration loop

Tweaks and testing were part of the deliverable, not an afterthought. Each stage was discussed with the client and feedback went in immediately. We wrapped up with full documentation covering the particle systems and their parameters.
